The Technical Support Manager is a key function in the Aftersales Department at the BMW Regional Office in Dubai. You will monitor technical quality, report to central departments, and define the technical support requirements here upon. As Technical Support Manager you will provide first level support for all Technical and Parts related inquires via PUMA, Mail and phone. The control of implementation of technical actions, communication support in regards of description and press release of technical actions is also in your area of responsibility. Furthermore, you will be analysing importer activities in regards of Retail standards relevant sections. You will be responsible monitoring and assisting recall campaigns, First Time Repair rate, checking software and programming tools at the importers, and keep the BMW Application up to date. You will be requested to travel to the markets for on-site assistance. We’ll also look to you to guide and coach the technical task team, importer staff and new internal colleagues, to coordinate with central departments with regards fault rectification processes, resolution of escalated customer issues, to deliver support for field’s service in the area of special cases, to assist with the implementation of BMW workshop equipment and as well to assist on IAP and ISPI project contents, rollout for IAP sub systems (e.g. ISPA, ISTA, etc.)
Desired Candidate Description
● Strong communication skills
● High level of organisational skills
● 7 years of working experience in BMW workshop or other premium manufacturers
● Diploma Technician, KFZ Master, or technical engineer or similar, Blitz III / Blitz IV
● Experience as regional / country technical support role desired
● Strong command of English and German and Arabic are beneficial
